The first hamster found was in the Syrian desert in1930.
It was a mother and 12 babies by a zoologist. He took back to his laboratory, only three survived out of twelve, Then in 1947 they became good house pets. The common hamster IS AS BIG AS A RABBIT! But IS NOT A GOOD HOUSE PET! It bites and can be as fierce as a lion! It can't even be good in a zoo! So it always lives in the wild. The rest of the kinds of hamster are nice such as, The Teddy Bear Hamster, Dwarf Hamster are nice. But they have to have something to chew on or their teeth will grow too big.
